Sentimental Wedding Gala at Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center

Jenna and Max met at a friends New Years Eve party. Jenna almost went home when Villanova’s basketball team was losing, but the team pulled out the win in overtime. “I told Jenna he was happy that she decided to stay,” Max said. They talked and danced the rest of the night, even sharing a kiss at midnight.

Jenna’s first impression of Max was that he was very outgoing, funny and genuinely interested in what she had to say; Max’s first impression of Jenna was that he was excited to have met someone that was easy to talk to and pretty.

Max asked Jenna to marry him in their apartment while they were packing for their trip to the Grand Cayman Island for Jenna’s birthday. They were able to spend the long weekend celebrating their new engagement on the beach.

Their wedding was on a gorgeous day in late October. Jenna and Max shared their first look on the rooftop of the InterContinental The Willard Washington D.C. before casually walking to their portrait location at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center to meet their close family, friends, and wedding party.

After taking formal portraits (see more about building this into your Timeline here), we all hopped onto the shuttle to head to the church. The ceremony location was exceptionally significant because it was also Max’s alma mater, the St. Aloysius Church at Gonzaga High School.

A sentimental wedding gala at Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center served as their reception venue, the atrium was romantically lit with candles and hanging bistro lights. They held cocktail hour in the oculus before introducing the wedding party, bride and groom shared a first dance, then were seated for dinner. There were so many family and friends enthusiastic to share the joy of the day with Jenna and Max; the happiness that filled the the room was contagious and kept everyone dancing all night.
